To Landline or not to be?

Should Meg and I get a landline phone?

House MD Season 6 features a shot of House in Wilson’s study-turned-bedroom and we see a landline phone on the bedside table. This immediately prompts my roommate and I to verbalize, for at least the second time, that we want to get a landline for our apartment. Technically, I already own a lip phone, so it would just be a matter of adding a landline to our monthly costs. If I were to bundle it with our Wi-Fi, it would only be an extra $15 on the monthly bill… I am thinking perhaps maybe! Another option would be to straight up plug a phone into the wall and see if it works. We did that with our Wi-Fi router at my first college apartment and it worked for a whole year!

I don’t really have any more to say, just putting it out there.

Losing my B-card

… Blogged for the very first time …

Hello, my loyal readers and welcome to my very first Blog Post!

As one of my New Years resolutions, I wanted to start a blog in an effort to create a lasting hobby to try and spend less time scrolling on social media. I find a lot of comfort in slightly older forms of media, like CDs, blogs, old movies. Maybe “classic” is a better phrasing than older.

Recently, I’ve been very encapsulated with literary analysis of every piece of media I come across, especially Ads. My current obsession, House MD, is on Hulu and I mute the ads. While watching the ads on mute, there is one that is so unbelievably well done.

An ad for “Hers” weight loss comes on the screen and I am immediately captivated. The colors are bright and soothing, the camera angles mimic the scrolls of social media, you can follow the whole story with no sound. It’s such an incredibly thought-out and beautifully directed Ad, it’s kinda a shame it’s an ad to push GLP-1 injections.

Anyways, here I am losing my blog-virginity to join the world on my own platform, at my own pace. Art is still art when no one sees it, but mine will go here.
